The most traditional outsole used for a variety of categories including outdoor, casual, and safety shoes. Made of a combination between natural and synthetic rubber providing improved physical properties for slip and abrasion prevention.

The process includes foaming and compression of a blocker to the outsole shape. Compression EVA is used mostly as a midsole for casual, athletic, and lifestyle shoes.

Thermoplastic rubbers (TR or TPR) are used extensively in the footwear sector for the production of various types of soles, shoe platforms, wooden soles and rubber boots.Artificial synthetic rubber soles provide improved flexibility with good wear and slip resistance. TPR soles are mostly used for outdoor sport activities.

Polyurethane or PU soles are lightweight with good abrasion properties which makes them perfect for manufacturing hard wearing shoes. This sole material comes with long-lasting physical properties to combat abrasion and slip. Shoes made with PU soles are flexible, comfortable and easy to wear.

Handmade solemaking is a traditional craft unchanged from past centuries. They are used to create either commercial or very unique outsoles for fashion shoes. Handmade soles are mainly formed from leather or rubber resin combined with a welt and leather stacked heels. They are made from cutting rubber sheets or leather bends into the required outsole shape. The processes can include trimming, buffing, snuffing, pressing, and hand colouring.

A phylon unit is created by injecting compressed ethylene vinyl acetate into a mould, which allows for light, flexible and resilient cushioning. Forming with a higher density compound enables Phylon to be used as a midsole and outsole. The production of phylon EVA units requires less labor due to more advanced automated injection machines.
